Rhenium Group Limited is a software development firm. We design and develop our products in house, which means when something goes wrong we are reading our own code rather than raising a ticket with a vendor in another time zone.
What we do
Tax integration, and the engineering underneath it.
Our work is connecting business systems to revenue authorities. We build INJONGE POS for businesses that want billing and compliance in one product, and we build the middleware that makes an existing ERP or POS file correctly for businesses that do not.
We work across Rwanda, Kenya, Malawi, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo — five authorities, five specifications, one team that knows all of them.

Where we came from
Fiscalisation is a payments problem wearing different clothes.
Before we integrated revenue authorities, we integrated banks and payment networks. That is not a footnote — it is why we approach this work the way we do.
Terminal engineering
Applications on payment terminal hardware, through long-standing partnerships with terminal manufacturers.
Transaction systems
Bulk payments, mobile money collection and reconciliation — high volume, and unforgiving about correctness.
Fiscal integration asks the same questions. What happens when the authority does not answer? What happens when the line drops mid-transmission? How do you prove afterwards what was sent? We had already had to answer those.
